Our Daycentre in Yaxley provides a welcoming venue for members of the community to socialise and remain active outside of their own homes. Our well-established team of highly-trained staff and dedicated volunteers are committed to deliver care and varied activities throughout the day, such as word games, quizzes, outings and regular games of bingo or remembrance and reminiscence sessions. Once per month we play host to an entertainer, usually a singer, and we are more than happy to organise birthday celebrations and other special events. We also have our popular annual barbecue event during the summer that attracts many guests.
As part of our service we offer free transport to make the Daycentre even more accessible to everyone who wishes to participate. We collect service users between 9.15am and 10.30am, and return them to their homes between 3.15pm and 4.30pm. The roomy minibus we use is equipped with a tail lift, and thus enables us to accommodate service users with potential physical restrictions.
The Daycentre was established alongside our Olivemede residential home and has strong ties to the local community. We share some facilitates and services with Olivemede, such as regular hairdresser and chiropodist visits. All of our delicious and nutritious meals are prepared freshly in our on-site kitchen.
Social Service referrals can use our services for just £6.00 a day. Private Service users pay £23.00 for day care services. Additional out-of-hours care can be arranged where required for £4.60 an hour.
